Who's Who of Veronica Mars — Z

Zack Fenlon
See Fenlon, Zack
Zaks, Laurie

A Veronica alias. Not to be confused with Alias, that show on ABC with Jennifer Garner. Not to be confused with James Garner, the star of The Rockford Files. Not be to confused with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who was a wrestler on WWE Survivor Series. Not to be confused with Survivor, the reality show that Richard Hatch won. Not to be confused with the other Richard Hatch, who is on the new Battlestar Galactica as Tom Zarek. Not to be confused with Laurie Zaks, the UPN Vice President. Whew. Rob knows where his bread is buttered in 2.08 "Ahoy, Mateys!"

Zeke

Student and jock at Pan High. He is a hanger-on of the basketball team, a role which he describes as that of team manager. He pisses off Richie by betting against Pan in the Pan-Neptune basketball showdown. Was Jughead's real name Zeke by any chance? He wins his bet in 1.16 "Betty and Veronica."

-Inigo

Played by Andy Morrow.
Zeke Molinda
See Molinda, Zeke
Zeta-Jones, Catherine

Actress. She likes to read to starving children and bake home-made scones according to Sean's reading of The Insider. She also likes to sue magazines. Connor Larkin's only met her in passing. He's way too young for her anyway as she tends to go for geriatric. She's discussed by the poker pals in 1.10 "An Echolls Family Christmas."

-Inigo

Zidio, Jorge

A coconut. Specifically, the guy whose address is used by Arturo to try to nab Corny again. I wonder if he serves the Dark Master...bater? The Unholy Prince...bater? Oh, well, he would probably be strange and off-putting if he ever appeared in 2.14 "Versatile Toppings."

Zigman, Hank "Ziggy"

Owner and operator of Zig Zag's Sports Club. He has a sideline in steroid smuggling. This muscle man proves that in tangling with Veronica Mars, the muscle he should be exercising is the one between his ears in 1.05 "You Think You Know Somebody."

-Inigo

Played by Deron Michael McBee.
Zimmerman, Charles

A member of the Castle in 1934. He didn't want power for himself, but rather he requested that his son, Robert Allen, receive all his benefits. What became of that boy anyway? Who knows. The times they are a-changing, especially for Jake Kane's hard drive in 3.20 "The Bitch Is Back."

Zinn, A.

Zinn Advisory is listed on Cora's class schedule. Advisory for what? Outlet shopping? The official clucking technique for the Oh Boy-o Pollo chicken? How to completely win over the VM fandom in your first appearance? If option C is the case, then Jackie better switch to Zinn's class immediately after 2.05 "Blast from the Past."

Zip

The most unforgettable ice cream maker in Neptune. That is, if you're a green-footed tourist so gauche you'd be at home in a pigsty. No respectable citizen whose zip code begins with 909 would ever patronize this substandard confectionery, as Logan is only too quick to tell his new eleven-year-old lady friend Heather in 3.13 "Postgame Mortem."

-ninamazing

Zippy the Pinhead

A cartoon character in a surreal comic strip that is (in the author's own words) "an ongoing, non-linear exploration of th' duality of personality." The main character, Zippy, speaks in "free-associative poetry." Or he smokes a lot of pot, as Logan puts it in 2.05 "Blast from the Past."

Zorak

A giant praying mantis and former enemy of Space Ghost. He was later forced to be Space Ghost's bandleader on his talk show, though with much heckling. The Real Kendall knows her giant cartoon bugs in 2.19 "Nevermind the Buttocks."

Zorro

The original caped crusader, this masked marauder rode around Spanish-era California on his horse, Tornado, with his Wallace butler Bernardo. Just don't confuse him with the Lone Ranger, kemosabe. Veronica asks which one of the PCHers named themselves after "The Fox" in 2.10 "One Angry Veronica."
