Jeff Ratner

Putting the "rat" in "Ratner," Jeff turned Veronica in when it looked like she plagiarized a Criminology paper. Whether he resented Veronica being a teacher's pet, just wanted to see a cheater get her due, or was sick and tired of waiting on Logan as part of his job at the Neptune Grand, we're not sure. But after Veronica gets him stuck on the graveyard shift by planting stolen mini-shampoos, soaps, and towels in his car in a case of mistaken revenge, he probably regrets ever opening his mouth. Jeff's stint on graveyard came in handy, since it turns out he delivered room service to "Rory Finch" the night the dean was murdered and overheard the good professor arguing with another man. Too bad Jeff isn't as snoopy as our dogged girl P.I., or he might have actually been useful. It's also too bad he's not the thief Veronica accused him of being, or she could have avoided a long, awkward car ride with Piz to get Desmond Fellows' tapes back from L.A.
