The television drought is coming to an end, but the eternally raining Neptune will not be here to quench our thirst. How do we survive television in a post-VM world? Why, by following the continuing careers of our favorite actors and writers, that's how. MI.net has put together a handy-dandy guide of where you can find actors and writers from Veronica Mars in the coming television season.

ACTORS
Kristen Bell - Heroes (recurring) (Mondays at 9 on NBC, Sept. 24), Gossip Girl (voiceover) (Wednesdays at 9 on The CW, Sept. 19)
Kyle Gallner - The Shield (recurring) (Tuesdays at 10 on fX, late 2007 or early 2008)
Chris Lowell - Private Practice (main) (Wednesdays at 9 on ABC, Sept. 26)
Alona Tal - Cane (main) (Tuesdays at 10 on CBS, Sept. 25)
Leighton Meester - Gossip Girl (main) (Wednesdays at 9 on The CW, Sept. 19)
Dana Davis - Heroes (main) (Mondays at 9 on NBC, Sept. 24)
Sam Horrigan - Beauty and the Geek (main) (Tuesdays at 8 on The CW, Sept. 18)
Kyle Secor - Women's Murder Club (recurring) (Fridays at 9 on ABC, Oct. 12)
Christopher B. Duncan - Aliens in America (recurring) (Mondays at 8:30 on The CW, Oct. 1)
Adam Rose - Aliens in America (recurring) (Mondays at 8:30 on The CW, Oct. 1)
Patrick Fabian - Viva Laughlin (recurring) (Sundays at 8 on CBS, Oct. 21)
Charisma Carpenter - Big Shots (recurring) (Thursdays at 10 on ABC, Sept. 27)

WRITERS
Rob Thomas - Big Shots (consulting producer) (Thursdays at 10 on ABC, Sept. 27)
Diane Ruggiero - Big Shots (consulting producer) (Thursdays at 10 on ABC, Sept. 27)
Phil Klemmer - Chuck (writer/producer) (Mondays at 8 on FOX, Sept. 24)
John Enbom - The Sarah Connor Chronicles (writer) (FOX, midseason)
Robert Hull - Big Shots (writer) (Thursdays at 10 on ABC, Sept. 27)

(P.S. All those writers there ended up working on the same lot, so they get to have lunch together and stuff. Isn't that adorable?)

In addition, Enrico Colantoni has shot a pilot called Critical Incident that may be picked up for CTV (yes, that's Canadian television) midseason, and Michael Muhney is filming a pilot called Family Practice that may be picked up for Lifetime.

Finally, don't forget that Kristen Bell will be hitting the big screen in two major movies next year: Fanboys in January (it's about time, right?) and Forgetting Sarah Marshall in May. Advance buzz is awesome. Tell your friends. She's gonna be a superstar.

I don't even know what to say. It's been a blast, huh? Three years of show and over two years of MI.net, coming to an end. Well, the show, at least. We here at MI.net are committed to remaining the best VM fansite in the Wide Wide World of Web, and this site won't be disappearing into the ether any time soon.

Thank you all so much for spreading the word and making sure this site was successful in its original purpose: educating new viewers so they could discover the wonder of Veronica Mars for themselves. We expanded far beyond our original scope, and at times, I think we were mostly entertaining ourselves, but we hope you were entertained as well. Thank you for the e-mails; they did not go unread. We're grateful for having had the opportunity to enhance your enjoyment of Veronica Mars and bewilder you with endless pop culture references.

Take care, Martians, Marshmallows, Neptunites, Pirates, Rough Riders. Keep chasing the storm.

Here's a list of stuff we updated:
Episode - Added quotes, details, roundtable review, cultural references, and cast list for 3.20 "The Bitch Is Back." The season three summary has also been updated for the last time.
Character bios - Updated the bios for Veronica Mars, Wallace Fennel (an all-new retrospective, a must-read!), Logan Echolls (also an all-new retrospective and a must-read!), Keith Mars, Dick Casablancas, Stosh "Piz" Piznarski, Parker Lee, Vincent Van Lowe, Nish Sweeney (now with added last name!), Chip Diller, Jake Kane (I know!), and Clarence Wiedman, Jr. (I KNOW!!!). And the very final upgrade in Neptune goes to Deputy Gills. We salute you, Deputy Gills. You were an ass once, and then you were an ass twice. Lamb would have been proud.
Who's Who - Added 92 new entries and 2 updated entries to the Who's Who. Yeah, you read that right. That includes 53 members of the Castle and 17 of Dick's email buddies, many of them shout-outs to behind-the-scenes folk. And every single one of them has a unique bio. Just like the show, we're going out strong. God bless you, Rick Pickett. God bless you and then kick you in the balls.
Neptune Graveyard - Added *sniff* the show to the graveyard. Dawn Ostroff, you murderer! MY DAUGHTER!!
Timeline - Updated Before High School, The High School Years - Senior Year, and The College Years - Freshman Year.

Yeah, let's look on the bright side here, guys. At least the very last MOTW was pretty kickass.

Okay, here's some more good news to focus on: not only will there be more extras on the season three DVDs, but there will also be Rob Thomas commentaries! Start saving your money now.

We're not ready to let go of the show yet, so we're only updating with one episode today. Look for the finale update later this week.

Here's a list of stuff we updated:
Episode - Added quotes, details, roundtable review, cultural references, and cast list for 3.19 "Weevils Wobble But They Don't Go Down." The season three summary has also been updated.
Character bios - Updated the bios for Wallace Fennel, Stosh "Piz" Piznarski, Dick Casablancas, Eli "Weevil" Navarro, Logan Echolls, Vincent Van Lowe, Professor David Winkler, and...Cassidy "Beaver" Casablancas! Come on, you know posthumous character development is the coolest thing. Meanwhile, the Student Formerly Known as "Preppy Girl" has become Jenny Budosh.
Who's Who - Added 48 new entries and 1 updated entry to the Who's Who.
Timeline - Updated Before High School, The High School Years - Sophomore Year, and The College Years - Freshman Year.

May 23, 2007

Wow. The show went out strong, with two of the best episodes of the season. And the finale, while not written to be a series finale, brought everything full circle and left our noir heroine right where she belongs: in the rain, an outcast once more.

The awesomeness of the episodes gave us double the oomph: we have summaries, lists of important parts, and cast lists for both 3.19 "Weevils Wobble But They Don't Go Down" and 3.20 "The Bitch Is Back."

The CW, however, is not as awesome and only has a creative commentary up for the first episode. Chris Lowell remains hilarious.

May 20, 2007

The show may be cancelled, but we're not out of a job yet. In this time of mourning, we funnel our grief into uploading fervor, as we continue to provide you high-quality content up until the bitter end, just like the show does.

For instance, we have an interview with Leah Wilson, co-editor of Neptune Noir, an anthology of Veronica Mars essays. The other co-editor? Rob Thomas himself, who provides an introduction to the book and introduces each essay. It will make you fall in love with the show all over again. Learn how this anthology came to be, and then go buy it!

With your leftover money, we suggest you donate to Invisible Children and support a charity started by none other than Ryan Hansen. Show the world Veronica Mars fans are the most generous there are.

And now, for the antepenultimate episode of the best teen-noir television series there ever was.

Here's a list of stuff we updated:
Episode - Added quotes, details, roundtable review, cultural references, and cast list for 3.18 "I Know What You'll Do Next Summer." The season three summary has also been updated.
Character bios - Updated the bios for Veronica Mars, Wallace Fennel, Cindy "Mac" Mackenzie, Stosh "Piz" Piznarski, Parker Lee, Dick Casablancas, Cliff McCormack, Liam Fitzpatrick, Richard "Big Dick" Casablancas, and Deputy Jerry Sacks (now with a first name!). We couldn't completely understand what he was saying before, but now we've also updated Deputy Leo D'Amato. And scraping in under the wire to become tertiary characters are Mrs. Lee and Wilson Behan.
Who's Who - Added 27 new entries and 1 updated entry to the Who's Who.
Timeline - Updated Before High School, The High School Years - Freshman Year, The High School Years - Sophomore Year, The High School Years - Junior Year, and The College Years - Freshman Year.

Break out the tissues for the TWO-HOUR SERIES FINALE, guys! Remember that it starts at 8/7c, so you get two episodes for the price of...two, really. If the past season finales are any indication, something is likely to blow up.
