Who Is Veronica's Father?

Status: Shredded

In an effort to find the truth about Lilly's murder, Veronica visited Abel Koontz in prison. But instead of finding answers, she was left with a huge question: Who's her real father?

While helping the alumni association put together a photo display for the class of 1979 reunion, Veronica found out that her mom and Jake were high school sweethearts and were crowned king and queen of the prom. While that news surprised her, it was Abel's bombshells that Jake and her mom were having an ongoing affair and Jake is her real father that sent Veronica reeling. "Look in a mirror! Are you the product of a schlubby sheriff, or the King and Queen of the prom?" Is that why Jake met her mom at the Camelot motel? Did her dad go after Jake because of the affair? Is Duncan her half-brother?

After overcoming her initial shock, Veronica was determined to find the truth about her paternity. She didn't want Keith to know about this, so she lied and tricked him into taking a paternity test. But some truths go beyond objective fact. A few days later, when the test results arrived, she shredded the envelope without even opening it. Truth be damned, Keith is the most important person in her life, and she is not ready or willing to lose him. Veronica doesn't need to be told who her Daddy is. She knows.
