Are you still in contact with some cast members from "Veronica Mars"?
Yeah I am. Teddy Dunn, (Duncan Kane) is a very close friend of mine. We're tight. Me and KB (Kristen Bell) keep in touch from time to time through email and such, as you know she is a busy lady these days and well deserved! I'm happy for her, that's my girl...

Every now and then there are rumors about a "Veronica Mars" movie. Can you tell us about it?
I don't know much anymore. Late in 2008 and during last year I would hear that too. At the time I had talked to Rob it was fifty-fifty. As time passes my hope for it diminishes a little bit, but I would love to do it if it happens. If Rob, Joel Silver, and Kristen can get on board with it then who knows...

Equally fine is Kristen Bell, who is at her best when playing a nasty little bitch. A few years ago I had the pleasure of seeing her as a thief and liar on HBO's Deadwood and she was brilliant, right through to her terrible death. You don't expect someone who looks like her to have to be a nasty little bitch, but when Bell is dfoing that she excels, and thus she is at her best here as the vicious Nikki. When she turns up the hate in her eyes she is a force to be reckoned with.

[Kristen Bell's] absolutely wasted in the role of Nikki, the club's star dancer with a drinking problem. Even though her character is weakly represented throughout the film, Bell manages to make more of a connection to the audience than Aguilera who's on the screen 90% of the time.

Cher, Tucci, and Bell are genuinely good, while Aguilera and Gigandet are just bad enough that you can enjoy a laugh or two at their expense without wanting to puke into your popcorn.

Kristen Bell was Nikki. I can't remember Kristen Bell ever being pure evil; I mean, she was pretty evil in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, but nowhere near as vile as Nikki. I liked it. Kristen Bell should be pure evil more often.

Pretty good review about VM.

One of the key areas in which Veronica Mars sets itself apart is its willingness to tackle darker themes. Make no mistake- VM may take place in high school, but it's far more The Shield than Dawson's Creek.

I could go on, but it boils down to one thing, and it doesn't matter whether you're a fan of detective fiction or not: Veronica Mars is television for smart people. It doesn't spoonfeed you answers, it doesn't make you wonder if the writers think you're an idiot — it trusts you to make intuitive leaps and see how things connect yourself.

And let us not forget Veronica Mars, the star-making vehicle for Kristen Bell. To this day, Bell asserts that if she had the funds to do it, she would fund a Veronica Mars movie herself. That's some devotion.

For Veronica Mars, it was simply that the show appealed to a select, dedicated audience, but with its extensive geek in-jokes and winks, it would have been extremely difficult for it to break into the mainstream.

Writer Roy Christopher raves about VM.

With that said, it's one of the best TV shows I've ever indulged in.

The writing is razor sharp, the plot twists are white-knuckled, and the characters are as multidimensional as they are memorable. It's everything I want from a TV show or a movie.

So, while I've never owned a television, I do love the medium done brave and done well.

This cult hit is way smarter than its DVD cover art would have you believe. The detective-in-high-school/college premise works fantastically, thanks in part to featuring Kristen Bell in a role she was born to play.

His Party Down and Veronica Mars characters are similar in the sense that they're very easy-going, irresponsible and girl-crazy (and that's putting it lightly), but Hansen did a good job of not making the same character despite their likenesses. While he's typically known for being the one to bring humor to a scene, there were plenty of times throughout the run of Veronica Mars where Hansen proved that he was able to go a bit deeper than comedic relief.

I know he plays the hapless moron with ease, but I think there's more to Hansen that meets the eye and expect great things in the future.

EXCLUSIVE: Rob Thomas Calls WB's 'Veronica Mars' Movie Email Address a 'Glimmer of Hope'

"I was surprised as anyone that Warner Bros. set up a 'Veronica Mars' email address," the show's creator Rob Thomas told TV Squad via email. "No one has talked to me about it."

"I was happy to see it," Thomas said of the email. "It gives me a glimmer of hope, but I'm just like everyone else wondering, 'What does this mean?' I hope it means it's under consideration, but I have no insider knowledge on that front."

The fact that no one from the WB talked to Rob about the email and Rob has no idea what's going on is not the most inspiring of signs.

Conclusion From the Above Timeline: Thanks for giving the Veronica Mars Movie an actual email address but, no, this still means nothing. And it would probably be healthiest for all of us Neptune ‘09ers, as much as it pains me to say it, just…move…on.

Warner Bros. decided it was as good a time as any to create an official e-mail address where you can send your pleas for a Veronica Mars movie. While this is surely better than sending pro-Mars letters/e-mails/objects into the WB void, the entirely random timing leads us to believe Warner Bros.' main aim here may have been to create a quarantine zone for Veronica Mars obsessives, so they stop filling random WB employees' in-boxes. But, on the off chance that this might actually help get a movie made, well, you know what to do.

Considering the tweet was sent last Friday night (though to be fair, that was probably the worst time WB could have chosen to broadcast that info) and has gained pretty much no traction since, it doesn't bode well for the potential of a feature film. If Warner Bros. really wanted to make a film they would put it into development, but it seems like they're waiting for a deluge of emails that we don't think they're gonna get before deciding to do something.

The hope-springs-eternal side of me would like to believe this email was created because the WB might be interested in a VM movie. The writer of the tweet uses the VM shipper lingo "LoVe" (AKA Logan and Veronica), which shows someone is paying attention to fandom. The life's-a-bitch side of me believes this email was created because the WB wants VM fans to stop clogging up their regular email account with questions about a VM movie. Which side is correct? Only time will tell.
