Gia Goodman

"Oh my God!"

"It doesn't look that bad..."

"No, I'm on MySpace, and I used to have like a thousand friends, and suddenly for some reason now I only have like nine hundred something."

Gia is the new girl in town, kind of like Rebecca Locke on The Inside but without all that violent crime. Although she did witness a whole busload of kids go off a cliff. It was a sad day for Gia, who was really trying hard to make new friends at Neptune High after being transferred from Country Day by her dad, who just happened to become the Mayor of Neptune. Or county supervisor. Whatever they're calling it these days. She doesn't seem to have had much trouble making friends post-tragedy, though, given the showing at her sleepover. Yes, a sleepover. Complete with butt-size comparisons, discussion of carbs, and poolside bikini displays. Joining the FBLA in pursuit of Dick Casablancas also improved her social standing. But, woe! Recently, she's lost nearly a hundred MySpace friends. Are her cupcakes really that bad?

Gia is a twit, there's no denying that. But she's a twit with layers! Witness her ability to deliver an incisive assessment of Logan Echolls's character! Marvel at her ability to feign an identity in order to gain important intel! Laugh at her complete lack of ability to identify cars! Okay, so she still has a long way to go, but there's one thing we're sure of: Gia is primed to put the wit back in twit.
