Logan Echolls
"Every school has an obligatory psychotic jackass. He's ours."
A long time ago, we used to be friends
A long time ago, Logan Echolls and Veronica Mars used to be friends. They dated each other's best friends, Lilly and Duncan Kane, and as a foursome, they gaily gamboled through life in the way that only nostalgia for times past allows.
Then Lilly Kane was murdered and everything changed.
But I haven't thought of you lately at all.
For Logan, son of a movie star who makes twenty million a picture, Lilly's death seemed to turn him mean. Lately, he hasn't thought of Veronica as a friend at all, for she betrayed the Kanes, and Lilly, by siding with her father Keith against them.
Come on now sugar, bring it on, bring it on, yeah.
She's prey to be taunted and humiliated and he does it with flair. That he seems to expect her...to want her to retaliate, to play the game provides a glimpse that there may be more to Logan Echolls than meets the eye. That Veronica sets him up with a bong in his locker suggests that she's ready to play. When they face off at the beach, Logan proves to be a bully but no coward in the face of a pummeling when he refuses to back down. What on earth makes this guy tick? Inquiring minds want to know.
Just remember me when we used to be friends.
Friends. Enemies. Whatever they were and whatever they are, there is no denying that the sparks fly between them.
For any of who are worried that you need therapy because despite his behavior, you think this psychotic jackass is...well...hot, take comfort and your place on the couch. You are not alone.
